Yellow belts

The boys trained hard and earned their yellow belts early in June. Their daddy is especially happy about their newfound love of karate. We are so proud of them!

Gavin lost a tooth!!

Finally! At 7.2 years of age Gavin lost his first tooth. We were beginning to wonder if it would ever happen!

Vero beach for Mommy and Daddy

Nick and I were able to escape the madness for a weekend away in June. So thankful that my parents watched the kids. Nick and I hadn't been away together since China and that didn't even come close to relaxing. So after two years we loved having some rare time together.

Chloe's first "real" haircut

We decided it was time for a real salon do for this cutie! She did a fabulous job and loved the attention of all the ladies in the salon.

More Mountain Fun

We found a river in Cherokee, NC that the kids loved yesterday. We caught minnows, built rock walls, rode on Daddy's back across the river, and had a yummy picnic! This was a hit for all. It will definitely be a new tradition!

On the way home we stopped at a trout pond so the kids could catch a fish. Very expensive and we didn't eat the fish, but the kids loved the "guaranteed" catch. Nick did not love the price tag:)

Mountain vacation
